Spring Donation Drive

We will be collecting Food Stuff, Clothing & Personal Care Items for Food for Others & ECHO.

Saturday 3/27, 9am to 3pm & Sunday 3/28, 9am to 11am

Drop-Off Location: Kings Park Elementary School Parking Lot

Food items most in need include: 

  • Fresh fruits (oranges, apples, bananas, tomatoes, avocados, grapes, berries)
  • Fresh vegetables (cucumbers, celery, peppers, lettuce, eggplant)
  • Canned chili
  • Canned tomato products (crushed, peeled, diced, etc.), 4oz – 1 lb
  • Canned meat (chicken, beef, turkey, or seafood), 2oz – 15oz
  • Rice, 16oz packages
  • Spaghetti sauce, 14oz – 1 lb (ideally in cans instead of glass)
  • Canned fruit (packed in fruit juice instead of syrup) sized 11oz – 20oz
  • Dried or canned beans (black, kidney, pinto, etc.)
  • Pasta
  • Fruit juice (100% juice) in 32oz – 64oz sizes
  • New or Clean Reusable Grocery Bags (8 ½ x 14 x 15)

Other items most in need include:

  • Children’s gently used or new SUMMER clothes (Please, no winter clothing)
  • Adult SUMMER clothing (Small and Medium preferred for teenagers, please no winter clothes)
  • Liquid Dish Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Razors
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Deodorant
  • OTC Pain/Flu/Cold Meds for Adults

Items Not Accepted: [by Food for Others] Food items more than 3 years expired; Opened items; Unlabeled or homemade items; or Cooked food [by ECHO]: Items not specifically listed as needed on their website

Volunteers

We Need volunteers to staff the donation drop-off area and to transport the collected items to our community partners. If you are interested, please contact Lisa Jones, VP of Education.
