Classroom Baskets

As part of Basket & Bingo, each class provides a themed basket which is raffled off at the event on March 21st at Lake Braddock SS.

We are looking for volunteers to serve as “Classroom Basket Parents.” The role of the Classroom Basket Parent is to:

● Work with the classroom teacher to communicate the class theme to parents and solicit basket donations via email;
● Coordinate the collection of items for the basket;
● Assemble the donated items into a class basket (which doesn’t have to be a basket – it could be a box, laundry basket, flexible tub, or other creative item to hold everything together);* and
● Deliver the basket to Lake Braddock the afternoon of the event (other drop off options will be available).

If you’d like to help with a basket, but your child’s class is already spoken for, please scroll down to the bottom of the list and sign up to take any unclaimed classes.

*Does the idea of packaging all the items into an aesthetically pleasing basket cause you stress? No worries! We are recruiting a “Basket Beautifier” to help!

This is an easy and great way to help out the PTA and your child’s school – and it can be done in your free time. Please use this link to sign up to be a Classroom Basket Parent.

The themes for each class basket are listed next to the teacher’s name in the SignUp Genius and below. After signing up, you will receive more information about how to proceed.

We welcome donations of new/unused items that fit any of the basket themes. If you would like to donate items to a basket other than your child’s classroom, please email [email protected]
