Kings Park/Kings Glen PTA coordinates after-school and enrichment programs for our students. Most programs run for eight weeks, and meet once a week immediately after school. Different programs are offered during the fall, winter and spring.

Tiny Chefs – Sweet and Savory Snacks: Tuesdays 3:35-4:35, Cafeteria
This winter students will push the limits on the snack concept and prepare a variety of sweet, savory, delicious and unique nibbles. This is not your mother’s PB&J! Chefs will prepare a variety of bite- sized munchies like sweet mango salsa with cinnamon sugar tortilla chips, veggie quesadilla with fresh salsa, Homemade Pretzels, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus with Homemade Pita Chips and more. No one will leave hungry this session!

Kidcreate – Kawaii Cute: Wednesdays 3:30-4:30, Cafeteria
Are you ready for some serious cuteness? You are going to love creating these kawaii-style projects that are so cute they’ll make everyone go “Awww!” We’ll be using clay, paint, and Model Magic as we make these adorable masterpieces that emphasize the true quality of cuteness. We will make a teeny tiny succulent garden, draw a happy avocado, and sculpt a teddy bear macaroon that is just cute as can be!

Our coding club turns playtime into learning time with fun, hands-on projects like building video games and animations. No experience needed, just a love for fun and creativity.

Magnus Chess: Fridays 3:30-4:30, Cafeteria
Learn chess with Magnus Academy, the five time world champion’s academy! We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state & national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.
Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments outside of club time, which may have an additional fee. All chess supplies provided. We welcome all grades and skill levels!
